Well, it was a fun day, I so enjoy seeing all the posts on facebook from friends and family, many of which I haven't been in contact or touch with for ages so it is so nice to see that they took time to send me a quick note of well wishes.
The day was good, the weather was warm and I got my grading and school work done so I was able to indulge and finish re-reading the Hunger games today so hopefully I can hit the movie and enjoy it with the book fresh in my mind. I forgot a lot of what happened so I am glad I did a quick re-read. That is my gift from Jay, he is going to try and get home so I can either make the 520 or 600pm feature at the theater near us....i hope for the 520 b/c it is killing me that I have to wait that long to see the movie....and no, I never see movies anymore so this is a huge treat and I plan to get a huge bag of buttered popcorn to fully enjoy my movie going experience.
The rest of my day was to do the normal grind of feed and entertain Matthew...he got really fussy around 4 when we came up following our Queenie walk so I thought hanging out on the balcony would help, of course not...so i took him back down and walked him for probably 30-40 minutes in the stroller around our building...we wore Queenie out that she got to ride on the bottom of the stroller for a few laps to rest.
Jay got home around 520 so he then got to enjoy the crawfish so despite wanting to eat all of eat by myself, I saved him enough to enjoy and I dug into the cookie cake he got me (picture to be posted on facebook soon) and ice cream...yum!!!
Luckily the excitement of all the walking and I guess cake and ice cream, Matthew got tired early so we got him down around 740 tonight so I now have time to do this post. YEAH! I am sure he will have me up early so I will be off to bed soon...
The last bit of news and excitement is my USAFA friend and fellow CS36er Proud Pink Panther Joann is coming to visit with her little girl Gi-Gi (Nickname) who I have met yet so I am super excited to have a friend come visit (even if we are in this little apartment) and the excuse to possible see other friends up in DC area as I will either bring Jo up there or meet her hubby halfway....
Can't wait to head to Greenville, apt is 30 Mar and hope to make the big announcement then once we have more information so hang tight!
Thanks for reading and thank you to everyone for all the birthday wishes...maybe next year in St Louis we can do a bash for the big 35....but of course anyone is always invited to visit whether there is a birthday party or not...just let me know!

Cherry Blossom Blooms!
Well, a few years ago I was dragged to this Cherry Blossom Event in Okinawa by Susie and Carrie. I was very resistant b/c nature and this sort of stuff is not my thing really but Susie really pushed it and I did have a fun day. It ended up that the blossoms were past on the blooms, the weather was cold or wet or something and it was pretty busy...Luckily a lot of other American Gals we were friends with also were there so as we climbed the steps to the top of this huge hill it was fun to just run into friends and hang out.
So fast forward, we are in VA and here at our apartment complex is this little walking path and pond and lining part of this are all these cherry blossom trees...they have been in bloom for the last few days and well, I totally get it now...sorry Susie for all the drama I probably put you through back in Oki...they are so pretty and we have enjoyed them everyday as we walk to the pond to feed the ducks/geese. Here are some pictures from yesterday, I feel I owe the Okinawa Gang some pictures to show I have changed a bit and can now appreciate some of what nature has to offer in terms beauty around here!
So to Susie and Carrie, hope you can forgive me and take a look at the pictures and hopefully appreciate the change that has occurred...just took 9 yrs or so for me to get here!

13 months old!
Matthew is 13 months old today! It is going to be really warm and sunny so thinking we might have to go hit the zoo or something to just get outside and enjoy the day this afternoon...of course this is all depending on the nap and how I feel...ugh my energy is low...but with Matthew getting more active and wanting to do more I have to start doing things in the afternoon to keep him active so he doesn't drive me crazy cooped up in the apartment. 4 more months...just gotta make it 4 more months in this rinky-dink apartment.
Not much else to catch up on...almost done with my first class for South University...can't get here soon enough, this course is a lot more work...but of course I start 3 more classes with APUS soon so no breaks for the weary. Although the money is just too good to pass up and with my birthday just around the corner, need some money to spend on extra fun treats and excitement for me!
CPR training this Sunday and hopefully a fun an exciting Saturday adventure at a park or somewhere near here so Jay has time to study plus spend some Quality time with Matthew...it was so cute, we took a walk yesterday and Matthew just kept wanting Jay to hold him and point out birds and clouds...and then when Jay left us to go hit the gym, Matthew threw his first fit...it was cute and funny, he just cried his eyes out and then came upstairs, started chasing Queenie around and playing with this Teddy Bear that we got from Aunt Paige that sings some Menards song (store in Chicago area?) and he just starts dancing and laughing...how easily he forgets.
ok, gotta go teach cycle yoga...no one showed up last week at the new time-slot but it is really ok b/c i think I will try to teach through Mid-may and then give up the class for the move.
Later everyone...look for 13 picky-sticky pictures on Facebook of Matthew soon.
