The funeral arrangements are not ironed out but I know she will be laid to rest in Minersville PA next to my grandfather John Dimiterchik.
This picture is at the burial cite. I took Grandma, mom and Aunt Karen on a trip to visit and we took pictures. It is crazy that the next time we go to this place will be for her funeral.
I grew really close to her especially as I got older, but some of my fondest childhood memories are with her and granddad in New Orleans. She took us grandkids each for a week and would take us to the Zoo, the Riverwalk, etc...so many fond memories.
Here is a Christmas in Ville Platte. We are opening presents. This is my sister and mom with her watching the Cho kids open up their gifts.
This is of all of us Fontenot kids with our grandparents. They were still living in New Orleans so it was before Hurricane Katrina
Another picture of Grandma with me. She made an effort to attend all of our functions. She was such a trooper when it meant traveling to crazy places. This picture is a Christmas Dinner in Ville Platte so after she relocated post Katrina. This is my cousin Michael and Uncle Mike
She came to my graduation in Greenville NC and was very proud of me.
She traveled to Negril Jamaica to see me get married. It was just so cute, she had to get wheeled around the airports but it got her varsity treatment through customs. She had her cane with her but walked all over that resort despite the sand. Here she is waiting for the ceremony at my wedding to start. I am so thankful that she was able to attend.
Here is Matthew with her on a recent visit to Ville Platte. We were planning to spend both Thanksgiving and Christmas with her this year but I am so glad for the time we did have and that she got to enjoy Matthew for the few visits we were able to make. One of my latest photos again at her house in Ville Platte. She loved pink and it was such a great color on her.
Well, just talked to my sister and it looks like funeral in PA on Friday 18th or Saturday...so basically straight away.
Goodbye Grandma.
