Well, We are waiting for Grandpa Joe to arrive from Baton Rouge. Today Matthew had a good day at Daycare where he was the only one in his class of 8 to not cry and sit on the Easter Bunny's lap. I didn't know they were going to do an Easter Bunny visit so tomorrow the plan is to hit the Mall with Grandpa Joe and visit the Easter Bunny, plus get a few things for the Easter Bunny to leave for Matthew on Easter morning.
The downside of the day came when Matthew only took a 2 hr nap and after the night we had where he cried and appeared to have some carrot throw-up in his bed so had to have a wipe down and change of clothes....so of course I ended up having to sleep with him and that is never fun and always means I don't get a great night's sleep...but I digress...it just makes for a really long day so we ordered pizza for dinner so tomorrow which is Good Friday we know have eggs, cheese pizza leftovers and cereal to get through the no-meat day...yeah my plan was to make Crawfish but of course I went to walmart and couldn't find any in the freezer so I bugged the staff and after 3 people finally got the "fish" guy who basically told me they were out and that they were not expecting any tails so ugh, my great idea of making crawfish for dinner was out...so now we have to figure it out...and while we are near the coast there are not really any good seafood places nearby for us to enjoy. It is quite annoying.
We bought our tickets for St. Louis. The plan is to fly out 2 June and house-hunt and hopefully find something before we get back to Richmond on 6 June. I went to the lease office here and got some upsetting news, the cooperation that owns our apartmens no long allows for month-to-month leases or agreements. So it is 75 dollars/day plus incidentals so for us to stay an extra 2 weeks or about 15 days it works out that we will pay about a month's rent...I really don't have a choice so I guess we will just have to deal with it but it feels like we are getting taken advantage of in some way that makes me angry...oh well...just have to get through July and this move.
So a big Thank you to Jay's friend and Matt's Godfather John, he sent more adorable clothes and this really cool turtle toy that does the alphabet, music and reading. Matthew was absolutely taken with it so Thank you again for your generosity and cool ability to find these toys...he really loves them!
Ok, so that is all I have, I know it has been a while but thought i would write. We had a great time visiting with my USAFA friends and their kids plus getting to host Joann and Gi-gi for a few days...hopefully once we finally get settled in a house in St. Louis we can start hosting more friends and family to visit!
That's it and will try to get pictures updated from this weekend, especially if I can get the Easter Bunny pictures tomorrow so keep and eye on Facebook!
